My father owns a Lexus RX400h (2005) in Vietnam and at the moment its battery is damaged so the car is inoperable. As a result, he and I are looking to purchase one for replacement but are clueless of which websites to look at/go to...

Now, I decide to come here and seek help. He wanted to know where he could buy a battery in the States (or if all else fails, abroad), whether it can be shipped to Vietnam and how long will it take for the battery to arrive.

He also wants clarification on the different kinds of battery that are available for the vehicle: core and without core i.e. the differences and such.

I need a reply! Since I found a site that has this particular part but they said they don't do shipping And further insult to injury: RX400h battery in Vietnam - $15000

The only place you're going to be able to get a hybrid battery from is going to be directly from Toyota/Lexus. I highly doubt you will find any in the junkyards, as they are hazardous waste, any that were taken out of wrecked vehicle were likely recycled. Contact a local dealer in your area, that is really going to be your only hope.
