i've got an 2001 ls430, can anybody tell me what do i have to change in the 40k km maintenance

I assume that 40k km is around 30k miles. I suggest trans. fluid, coolant, diff. fluid, air filter to be change. It's depending on your driving too, highway or city driving and how hard you drive.

I'd pull out the Owner's Manual Supplement and see what Lexus recommends; also, as VVT-i points out, driving habits can affect the recommendations, so see if your vehicle fits criteria listed under "Special Operating Conditions". If NOT, then VVT-i's recs may be more conservative than even Lexus factory engineers recommend. However, since 40k probably equals 25k mile service (on basis of 1 km = 0.621 m, 40k km = 24.84 k miles), you aren't really due for much more than an oil change unless the LS has some unusual maintainence items.
