Default Silencing/Preventing Creaks

I'm wondering how people (particularly you lexus techs out there) get rid of rattles and creaks, and how I can prevent them as I take panels off and put them back on to route wires around the car.

We never use anything to prevent the rattle when removing the panel, if reinstall it correctly. Lexus use some kind of foam or double sides tape( black in color) to fill up the gap. You can get this kind of foam or tape at the hardwares store.

Any tips for "reinstalling it correctly"?
