Default 01 gs300 backfire ?

Could bad gas made it backfire? ?? Car run smooth n idel fine just backfire when pressed the gas down hard ..plz help

I scanned the code n it said knock sensor

Default 2001 gs300 need help car just started it acting up backfiring

Recently just changed new plugs( ngk inridium gap is .004)n (new wires oem ) then check engine came on start backfiring ..scanned the code n it said knock sensor ...keep in mind car wasnt actting up til new plug n new wires went in ..car is running fine n idle normal n drive smooth but still dont know y is backfired. ..only backfire when I stomp on da gas real hard ....I even cleaned the mas intake sensor , clean out the vvt sensor and the lil oil filter........check engine light still on n still backfire on fast acceleration. ....plz help .....ty in advance guys

sure you didn't get a plug wire and/or coil switched around???

look at your other thread... after you changed the wires and plugs, are you sure you got the plug wires and coils back where they are supposed to be??/

I did put coils back in correctly. ...scanned the code twice just must sure n it still said knock sensor circut1..still dont know y it backfiring

A malfunctioning knock sensor will not cause one of our cars to backfire, period... Being that that has no bearing on your backfire, the most common other cause is a coil in the wrong place or spark plug wire in the wrong place... not sure if it is possible because of wire lengths, but maybe a coil wire (the plug from the ecu, not the spark plug wire) got swapped...

Aside from that, hard to say unless you've got something else unplugged, but I can't imagine what in the intake system that would cause a backfire...

Still cant identify the prob ...check egine light still on n same code saying knock sensor circut 1 ...imma just go head n replace the knock sensor just to see if the issue will goes away ...ty in advance for helping
