Question (In)accuracy of computer mpg

Anybody else have this problem?

My hand calculations of miles per gallon are about 2mpg LOWER than the car's computer. (22.5 vs 24.5)

Is there a way to adjust the computer ?? -- or just live with it

Thanks

Default

Adjust the computer...Just put bigger wheels on your Lexus. Then they'll match up.

Question Wouldn't that screw up speedo and odo?

I think the error must be coming from the cumulative fuel sensing/calculation. The speedo/odo are pretty close to accurate.

Any adjustments available?
