I know I should just RTFM but what exactly is covered for 4yrs/50k ?? I mean, why have a warranty and advertise it as such if in reality certain parts of the car expire after a year ? Where is the incentive to extend your warranty through them if they're only going to nickel and dime you anyway ?? You spend between $40 and 70k on these things, which for some people takes many years to accumulate, but there are actual repairs that expire after only 12 months ?? At least with my BMW I don't have to psyche myself up and rehearse what I'll say on the way there to convince them to fix something on a car still under warranty, but with Lexus, I have to argue with them to fix something that they've already replaced (headlights, going on 3rd pair in 1.5 years, love that moisture in those plastic lenses ), and rattles that they can't stop or find the source of (glovebox, sunroof, A pillar). Every time I have to bring it in, they give me the ol "well, really that's only covered for the first year, but we'll fix it as a goodwill gesture" speech, meanwhile the lower door weather stripping seal is dragging on the ground. Yeah, I guess that's my fault, it's to be expected after 2 years on a $45k luxury sedan.

well i can tell you for sure, they are BS. if they still do the name, do what you did, call lexus NA and complain, open up a case and go through everything. the warranty is warranty, it states it covers BUMPER to BUMPER for 4yr/50k, and that WILL include rattles, squeak, etc... you can even sue them if they continue doing that
