For those of you in NJ & PA, try Lexus of Cherry Hill, if you are concerned about the quality of the work.
They are very reputable, and though not ususally cheaper than Lawrence Lexus, they do an excellent, complete job, have not had a single problem yet. Yeah, I'm always looking to try to do the maintenance myself, but if you are gonna pay the money, might as well make sure the job gets done right.
(PS: No, I absolutely do NOT work there, just in case anyone's thinking that.)

Yeah, you're right, all of the Lexus dealers are rapists, because they can. Most Lexus owners wouldn't touch a wrench if their life depended on it, so they're happy going to the dealer and shelling out cash so they don't get their hands dirty. Most of us on this website are oddballs as that goes, since we do a lot of our own work and hate paying the dealer. My point though is, for some things you HAVE to go to the dealer, like warranty issues, or replacing your pistons, or CBEST settings, etc. You know what I mean. In this case, Lexus of Cherry Hill does a good job. There's nothing worse than paying Lexus dealer prices and getting a half-*** job in return. I've had this happen at Lawrence Lexus. And they are far from the worst dealer in the world, either, there's a LOT worse out there. Just try your friendly neighborhood GM, Ford, or Chrysler dealer.
That said, it is AMAZING what they charge for some of the parts and services. You can get some things at Lawrence Toyota, down the street on Route 1. I get stuff like oil filters there (any Lexus part that is a 'Toyota' part). They'll give you much better prices, but not as good as Steve Ganz.
