ran out of freeon what to do? what to do?
ok so what should i do if there is no more juice still left in tha a/c? i know tha type of freeon that we have is rare. so my question is, should i convert it to the more frequently used one? or should i just get the refill? what type of prices am i lookin at as well. i have a 1990 LS.

It's a trade-off. The new stuff, the r134a, is common, but it doesn't cool as well in our old systems. The R12 works great but it is expensive and you have to have an a/c certification to be able to buy it. Is there an a/c shop that you trust to give you an honest estimate? Doesn't have be a Lexus shop, a/c is a/c. I had my compressor rebuilt, new drier and condenser, all R12 freon replaced in my 91 LS400 last year for about $750 or so. You can hang meat in my car now, it is COLD.
