Default Hybrid regenerative braking and brake pad life

Hi,
Do owners of the hybrids with regenerative braking find their brake pad life is much longer than non hybrid cars? How many miles can you go between brake pad replacements?
I have an ES300h but question pertains to any of the Lexus hybrids with regenerative braking.
thanks!

Of course, pad life on our hybrids will vary according to driving style and traffic environment, just like non-hybrids. All things equal, in a comparison between a ES350 and ES300h for example, the pads on the hybrid should last dramatically longer.

I have a CT200h and I fully expect to get 150,000 miles or more out of my brake pads based on how I drive. It's interesting to read threads on this topic in Prius forums. Some folks are getting 200,000 miles plus and some still have the factory cross hatching on the front rotors at 20,000 miles.

Amazing. It will be great to get even 50K-100K. On my last ES330, I was changing pads approximately, every 30K

I just put Akebono full ceramic pads on my IS. These are much easier on rotors, last longer and produce ZERO brake dust. Highly recommend.

There's appreciably less brake dust on hybrids than their gas counterparts. And it'll be a while before they'll need to be replaced. Just saying.

I didn't replace the brakes on my RX450h during the 6+ years I had it. The front pads were showing signs of wear around 40K. My SA recommended changing them in another 10K miles . As luck would have it, I took delivery on my RX450h F-Sport before hitting the mileage Getting 50K miles might not sound like a lot. But keep in mind we're talking about a heavier SUV, almost entirely city driving with plenty of stop and go traffic. Can't forget about the hills too. On former RXs, I was getting the brake pads/rotors replaced about every 25K miles. Going hybrid has essentially taken that off the list of repairs.

The oem pads are prolly different for both vehicles as well. The stock pads on the IS are semi metallic and put off a TON of dust regardless of the vehicle theyre on.
