Default A/C Evaporater

Has anyone ever had this replaced?

The A/C on my 1992 LS stopped blowing cold about 2 weeks ago so I took it in to have it checked out at Midas, and they originally couldn't find any leaks in the system so they charged it up with good ol R-12 and sent me on my way. About two days later it stopped blowing cold again. When I took it back they did a more thorough inspection and now are telling me that the evaporater is leaking (the unit behind the dash). They won't even attempt this, because of work involved in taking apart the dash to get to it.

They recommended I take it to a Lexus Dealership and refunded my money (very professional).

So if anyone has ever type of service done, or has any recommendations, I'm all ears.

Make sure you replace Expansion Valve and Dryer as well( if you want to DIY). The Evaporator is not too hard to get to, but kinda tricky and the Dryer is locate under the right front headlight. If you're not the DIY kinda guy I recommend take it to dealer.
