I can feel the car downshift at every stop. I'm driving from 60mph and I come to a light. I slow down and stop. As I'm slowing down I can feel the transmission downshifting to each gear until I'm stopped completely. It actually makes your head move (like when you hit the brakes) when the A/C is on. 3 clunks down to first..annoying!

The transmission mount was changed not too long ago and so was one motor mount.

More signs my transmission is going to die or what?

I had a problem with my trans having harsher up-shifts and I could feel the downshift just before taking the car to the complete stop. As much as I could only feel one, not like you, it was very annoying and my wife always complained about it. It felt like car is trying to jump on you when braking. I run Auto-rx in the transmission for about 1700 miles and then did a full flush. The car feels much better now. The up-shifts are almost unnoticeable and the downshift right before stop is gone, sometimes I still can feel it, but it can be in my head. The car feels like a different car now, and some of my frustrations are gone.

I actually did a full running flush last year sometime, maybe I'm already due for another.

I'll probably do a drain and re-fill sometime soon. - remember always use Type IV toyota fluid!

Plus I'm getting a tranny cooler soon..
