Thumbs up 3D Printer (Metal, Plastic)

First I would like to think you for viewing this Thread.
I was searching which printer will be of most use for the car I think metal printer is great but plastic also another option so I thought of posting this to see if anyone ever used this method to fix or maintain his car in any way possible.

Would be one way to prototype the part prior to having it done on a CNC in the material of choice.

Jay Leno has 3 3D printers to create parts for vehicles in his extensive car collection. It was in the news because he started printing masks and donating them to the local fire department, hospitals etc to help out with the Covid-19 crisis. It did not state if they were plastic or metal, but whatever they were, his team was able to repurpose them to make some kind of mask.
