lefty75,
I bought my oil filters from iron toad. I bought the 90915-YZZB9 after doing a search and I saw on another thread that this was the better filter of the two you mentioned. I think they sold them for $6 (can't remember now).
You can pick 'em up at yer local Toyota dealer. Or just buy 'em online at iron toad. Iron toad has some shipping costs involved. But you can do the math and factor in the hassle factor of going to yer local Toyota dealer and see which option is the best value for your money.
Good luck.

Hello all,
Ok, here's what I want to know: Is there any proof that a filter "specifically" made for a specific model of car is any better than a generic one? I would suspect that any filter other than the OEM is going to be generic in that it is made to fit as wide a range of models as possible, to reduce the different ones they have to make. But assuming the "generic" version is of high quality (and has the appropriate anti-backflow valves, etc.) what extra value do get by having one that is "specific" to your model?
