hey guys first time posting on a lexus forum and let me tell you it already feels fancier than DSMtuners. so i'm here today hoping you guys can smell what i'm stepping in. i had the IS300 out the other day cruising to get some food and all of a sudden the rear wheels lock up. well i got it on a tow truck and looked under it and happened to see a crack on the rear diff cover. it managed to leak out most of the fluid and i'm imagining that's why it locked up on me.
i'm imagining i'm going to have to either rebuild this rear diff or put a new one in it. but the problem is, that requires me taking the diff off the car. is there any chance of the diff not being totally eukered? maybe if i put fluid in it and weld the crack it will spin again? thanks for your time
P.S. i have raised the car 2 and a half inches from where it sits in these pics. i bought it like this and i'm pretty sure that's why the crack.. yeah.
