I bought an extended warranty from 1source and did have to make a claim, one of my engine sensors went bad and it would have costed me around $500 to fix but they covered it with no problems, I had the warranty with no deductable. I also had to make another claim for my radio which one of the display letters went out ( I also purchased the high tech electronics warranty ) and they said that they would NOT cover it because they claimed it went out a while ago and that they could open it up and see that it went out before I said it did (Is that possible ??? ) so they said they would not cover it. I argued that it did just go out and they said I would have to leave my car at the dealership and whenever they could they would send out a expert claimsperson and they would know exactly when the lcd went out ? but they said they didn't know when it would be so i would just have to wait and that it could be days, I asked if they could call me when the guy was going to be there and I would drive there but they said NO that they could not do that and I would just have to leave my car there. I said forget it as it was such a hassle. If I had to do it all again I would not buy a warranty because I bought a 1 year/12000 mile warranty and drove 12000 in the first 6 months so I am still paying for the plan (8 installments $1700 total) and my warranty is over. But i guess if something major goes wrong then it will save you. If you have any other questions email me thanks

hmm...so they fixed the big thing, but not the smaller thing. Did you take it to the dealership both times?

well they both were big things in the cost as a new radio was around $500 also. And yes to the dealership both times, even the service manager was like there is no way they could tell when the segment went out. But oh well.
