Help, SC arthritis!
Last night I noticed that my driver door has become increasing difficult to open & close. Will I need to rebuild the hinge or will a little white lithium grease save my weekend?

The grease will save you for months if not more....i have been using it since jan...and my doors are fine how ever if you are in the rain with your doors open...the grease is not water resisitant..and it will wash away and you will get the squeaking back again...

Yes, this is a problem ive experienced lately... The drivers side door is not difficult to open, but unfortunately has developed a pretty loud creak when its opened and shut. The hinge that actually makes the noise is the bracket with the ball and spring in it.. the bracket has three "wells" to catch the ball and hold the door open at these points, it creaks at the 2nd one i believe. Ive tried oiling it up but it dstill creaks and you can hear the metal to metal contact... Im having my mechanic do some work on it when he replaces my brake disks and rotors in a few weeks, unless of course this is a problem that has occured before with you guys and there is a solution that doesnt involve taking apart my door.
