Default Brake life

Any 02 es300 owners report how long their brakes lasted in City driving?

Thanks

i went 3 yrs and 60k between changing pads. rotors were fine. i never get rotors surfaced anyway - waste of money unless you have pulsing, etc. problems or can feel issues. i go to toyota dealer - much cheaper.

at the 15,000 mile service they said I had 80% remaining front and back.
at the 25,000 (done at 23,500) mile service they said I had 50% remaining front and back.
at 24,000 miles, I had the front rotors and pads replaced as part of the TSB for 02/03 ES brake pulsation.

So my guess would be about 45-50k for the original set with my foot.

[TSB for 02/03 ES brake pulsation.

Please tell me more about this, did they perform any of the repairs under warranty?

jerryray,

This TSB is called "front brake vibration" (the name speaks for itself). You can find more TSBs for your car by going to alldata.com, and clicking on the "Recalls & TSBs" link at the top. You can print out the list of TSBs for your car, highlight the appropriate one(s) to be checked out, and bring the list to the dealership to get the service done based on the TSBs. If you make a good case out of it, they should be able to do the repairs at no charge. Good luck.
