Battery Tender in below freezing environments
Hello, I have an IS250C that I keep garaged during the winter months at my apt building. The garage parking structure is open throughout with just open and close doors. Here in Ohio during Dec through Feb we will get below freezing temps outside. I have a NOCO Genius G3500 tender that I am using now, however I notice this in the manual:
Operating Temperature. The charger is designed to work in ambient temperatures between 32° and 1 04 o F (0° and 40° C) and stored in temperatures between oo and 130° F (-17° and 54° C). Do not store or operate outside of these temperature ranges. Do not charge a frozen battery. Discontinue use of charger immediately if the battery becomes excessively warm.
I am curious if anyone might have a suggestion for a cold weather battery tender. I don't want to pull the battery and lose all my settings.
EDIT: Just looked at the Genius 5 and that will work down to -4F

i used that same tender on a snowmobile here in Canada and down to 36 below worked just fine. It was outside all year long for 3 years and always plugged in and never had an issue ever.
