I have a 2016 RX450H. I bought it used and didn’t buy it from a Lexus dealer. Remote start works great with the 3 clicks on the lock button.
my wife’s 2015 IS250 AWD w/ navigation and premium package does not remote start with the key fob.
Does anyone have any real answers why some work without Enform subscription, and some don’t??? You will win the internet today if you can provide a solid answer. Lol!!

Wow, I'll take a crack at it lol. When I bought my 2018 in April 2019 I lost all of the free subscriptions, except the safety connect. My RX was made on 3/2018, just passed the one year mark. When I asked about it the salesman said I would have to renew the subscription to get the remote start to work again. I didn't want to shell out anymore money so I said forget it, so you will need to subscribe, I think Lexus want $80 a year for that. I've tried it a few times to see if it would work, but no dice. So that's my experience with that.

Man that sucks, and I don’t blame you for not wanting to subscribe to something that’s already built in to our cars. I could understand using the app, because that is an on-going cost connecting to your car through the internet. But remote start from the key fob is not.
Wonder why mine works in my 16’ RX? There’s gotta be an answer to this. Lol!
