I just had a 60,000 mile service done in august called several chicagoland lexus dealerships they all had different prices and different things they do went ahead and had it done where I bought the car

Here's the list of things done and prices charged in the order they printed it out

oil filter $9.81
oil filter gasket $0.94
6 quarts of oil $1.66 = $9.96
3 gear oil $1.44 = $4.32
air filter $15.92
injector cleaner $5.98
oil additive $5.50
trans drain plug gasket $0.88
trans gasket $1.81
ATF T-4 fluid $27.35
antifreeze $15.57
brake fluid $3.19
ventilation valve $8.77
fuel tank gasket $12.30

Which totals to $122.30
taxes $7.94
equals $130.24

They charged me a grand total of $130.24 w/ tax so labor was approx $374.76
this was a cpo lexus vehicle so while it was in there they put a new driver's window regulator in and a new left hand oxygen sensor in, my check engine light had come on about 50 miles previous before this scheduled service

Just to let you know the price of the 02 sensor would have been $129.78 plus labor $90.00 and the window regulator $476.60 plus labor of $108.00

Told me the plugs probally needed changed asked how much quoted as saying regular price was something like $275.00 for plugs and labor but would give me a discount since all the other stuff they were doing so it would be only $250.00 I was kinda like wow what a discount I told them If they could do it for $150.00 put them in he siad that would not even cover his cost he said well do it for $225.00 I said na he then said o.k. your getting a great deal will do it for $200.00 even and thats as low as I can go I told him I can got an extra $175.00 if you can do it for that fine if not I do them later he said we will have them in and you can pick up your car tomorrow

Sorry for such a lenghty reply but this is just to forwarn you you can get them to come off their regular prices so my total was around $680.00 and plugs were $8.32 x 8 = $66.56 labor $108.44

They also are suppose to basically check the car out and let you know if anything else needs done like brakes, tires, ect. to my suprise they had found nothing else that needed done by no means are dealerships cheap but my local toyota dealership isn't qualified to work on my car by my standards but have since found someone in my area who can work on my car but he's not cheap either

so i guess the "courtesy car" and "coffe" aren't free afterall............hehehe.
for what they do in a 60k service $400-$450 should be the max............but throw in a courtesy car and a fake smile we're up to a grand or more.

Thumbs down $1200.
