Default 2008 IS 350 Buring oil nothing dripping

So I bought this older 2008 IS350 from a private owner. He was upfront about the IS350 burning oil. The car has 240,000, but looks and drives great! I've put 2500 miles on it and it's down almost 2 quarts. I had the PVC valve replaced hoping for a cheap fix, but didn't work. Any major repairs will be fixed by an experienced mechanic. Should I just buy another engine? I'm not sure the correct way to go. Thanks.

My new pup. I didn't have any photos to add.

Should you buy another engine? No. At that mileage the car is quite well worn in or maybe flat worn out drive it until it dies. Put some 5w40 oil in it to reduce consumption. Even the puppy is saying, daddy pet me no new engine.
