Timing belts
Check this out: When I am completely stopped and I kind of floor the gas, it's like if there is something hitting in the engine area. I dunno if it's the time belts but...It's like if there's a lil short delay and then "knock", speed is going up. Is it the timing belts, engine mounts, something I dunno ? You guys could probably tell me about it.
thx

If this happened to me I would put the keys in my pocket, and call the Lexus 800 number.
What car do you have and how old? (try using a signature to provide that information here for all)

Sounds like the hesitation problems the SC's have.
You hit the gas, there is a hesitation and then the car takes off. Right?

I think his car is 95 ES300 and it's really hard to figure out some of this kind of problem on line. He may talking about the chuncking noise+engine speed goes up? transmission's problem...may be. I recommend to take it to the shop and get them diagnosic.

it won't happen if I gently press my foot on the gas. To beat some civics, I have to press gently, they go ahead for half a self and then they see my back saying Lexus...But I want them to see it in first place, not after half a second But I think you guys understand the problem...
What do y'all think ?

binelus; if you have a new car and a problem like you are describing which may indicate an issue that would place your car or you at risk, or your car won't run, Lexus has a 24/7 Road Assistance number. I have used it, they are very helpful in such situations. Using it right away can help you in several ways. If your car is a 95 then you likely don't have access to it.

bin, IMO VVT-i is right, I'd get it to a dealer or certified shop asap.
I don't mess around with mine if I notice the slightest thing out of the ordinary, course they have always been under waranty, but it just sometimes costs money to maintain these baby's!

What may not seem like a big deal today could be a major problem it's your car do what you thinks best
Remember the old ad
YOU CAN PAY ME TODAY OR YOU CAN PAY ME LATER
just treat your car problems as you would your own health you might not want to hear what they have to tell you but at least you'll be forwarned
Ignorance is acceptable
Stupidity is'nt
