We recently had the 30k done one our 2001 LS430. Was surprized by a $90 cabin filter cost; I guess its located in the glove box--where can I get one and do it myself cheaper?

You can also try lexus-parts.com (owned by Sewell Lexus in Dallas, TX). Talk to Darrell from the parts dept (866-775-7685); he knows ClubLexus and works with CL members on a daily basis. Just to give you an idea of the part cost in question, the A/C filter part for my '01 ES costs about $40 if ordered from Sewell.

Schtdygirl, I'm going to replace the filter part of my air filter module with a high efficiency, maybe HEPA, filter cut from a home HVAC filter and inserted in the cartridge.

Just a thought, I'm not sure if LS people want to get involved with this nitty-gritty stuff though.

(If I had an LS I probably wouldn't.)
