Default Oil pump/ Oil pressure relief issues

hello all! seeking advice with the following issue. The car is a 1998 Lexus GS400. Summer of 2021 the car had shown a low oil pressure caution symbol and there was a rattle that sounded like a bag of marbles coming from the oil pump area. I stopped driving the car and replaced the oil pump assembly with a brand new one from Lexus. This solved the issue until now. The rattle is back but the oil pressure light is not. The rattle will only come back when revved to 2000rpm and stops past 3000rpm. My suspicion is that the oil pressure relief valve is faulty and opening at low rpm or the pump is cavitating somehow before I start tearing into it i would like to see what others think about it. cheers!
