I'm surprised Toyota hasn't created a special toolkit for it.. It's been a problem since 2005? Anyway, what's the easiest way to fix the timing cover seal without removing the engine? I've seen photos of it done, but nothing I'm willing to try (yet).
Thanks

And has someone used stop-leak or rear main seal leak repair on the 2GRFE leak? How about Permatex Spray? I'm willing to try an expensive bottle of magic if someone provides a recommendation.

Haha. Dude, if a had a bottle of unicorn spray I’d sell it to you. Unfortunately, I don’t think you have a choice but to pull everything off the front of your engine and remove the timing chain cover. I’ve pulled the engine out of my IS350 twice (2gr-fse, almost identical to yours) for different reasons and have resealed it both times. I’m sorry to say that there is no magic fix for ease for sealing. It is a big job, requiring patience and a lot of time in the garage or driveway. The problem is the oil pan…you have to take that guy off…and that’s where the nightmare begins. In my car there isn’t a chance of doing that without either lifting the motor off the cross member or pulling the motor…sorry mate. It’s not a simple task. 😖
