1992 ES300 Timing Belt Change
1992 ES300 Help! Screwed up and removed my timing belt to replace the cranj seal, put belt back on and have lost timing , think either crank or cams has turned 1 or 2 teeth, what is the easiest or only way to get things set back where they go to reinstall timing belt? HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the info Nick, Everythings working great. Do ya think that the water pump should be replaced since everything is open? Have about 140,000mi on it!

CBU,
turn the crank to TDC, since it's off only 1-2 teeth even if your engine is an interference engine the valves should be OK. Once at TDC, remove the t-belt and turn your cams to the correct alignment marks notched into the engine. Use a new t-belt if you did not already to make sure you are not putting on a stretched belt that will put you off timing again.
