I think you would like the Teins. If your on a budget than Springs would be fine. You just don't have the functionality of height adjustment. You can achieve the same look with springs. Most popular would be the Tanabe pr Eibachs..

I have not known anyone that can reprogram the Lexus ECU.

If you are only doing the exhaust and intake, your best bet would be to use a piggy back system like the S-AFC or something similar. So in that regard, the tech was correct. I don't think that you will need to do more than that.

If your tech says that he can reprogram the ECU, then I (myself) would really be interested in how he got the tuning parameters. In all the years of my working on the lexus, there have been no software or hardware developed to interface and change the parameters set by Toyota.

Do you mean the electrical pin-out sheets??

Yes! But not really because you MUST send in your pin-out sheets (can be found at any local library). If you search the forums you will find a thread where I posted a copy of the pin-out sheets for my '00 GS400. I do not have a copy of it and am unsure which thread it was about 1.5 years ago.

It's not specifically made for any particular car...it is a universal item. I just checked ebay motors out. Simply type in Apexi Neo and hit search. There are a crap load of them new and used for sale there. Apparently, they went up a little in price. I paid closer to $300 (new) where I think they are now going for $350-$375. GL!
