    5. Now the two pins you are going to jump are E1 to Tc. Start with E1 first, then connect to Tc second.
I had to kinda wedge my paper clip to make it stay, cause when you jump E1 to Tc, you are going to want them to stay in contact the whole time. So if you can get a thin, long paper clip thats best, or your jumper wiper, which ever.

    6. Now that you have E1 pinned to Tc, you want to put the key in your ignition and turn it to ACC. Once all the lights on the dash are done flashing, you want to keep stepping on the brake 5-8 times, after a while, you will hear a loud beep. Then the dash will light up a red BRAKE light. once that comes up, let off the brake, wait about 5 seconds, then go and take the pin out of E1 to Tc, then install the short pin back, turn on the car and drive it. You should have your speedo back on!!!

    Please keep in mind:
***So when you are pressing the brake pedal, your gonna make sure you press it 8 or more times within 5 seconds. ***

    Hope this helps.

No, what I did to get my Speedo and ODO back was a trick I picked up on here. There is no write up but I should go ahead and make one. Do this before you mess with the VSS on top of the trans, this may work and save you a bunch of time.

All you need is a jumper wire or paper clip.
Ill try my best to type it out :

1.First go to the diag. Port under the hood
2.Then flip it open and inside you should have a short pin. Its kinda on the very bottom left if you are looking at it from under the hood.
3.Your going to take that short pin out, and do it carefully. DO NO DROP IT. Because it's hard to find trust me
4.Now that the short pin is out, you wanna look on top of the diag cap, there should be a legend. On there it's going to have to locations of pins that we will jump, this is when your gonna need your paper clip, or jumper wire.

**Step 5 and 6 is on the next message**

Did you have to drop the transmission to get to the VSS near the front of the transmission responsible for speedo/odo function? Also, what is the part # for that VSS near/on the front of the tranny...not getting any lights on dash so thats good...just need to get the part and figure out if it is easy access or I need to drop transmission..

    Thanks!

    Hi Aristo722,

Also from texas in Dallas area...basically was reading up on: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...same-time.html

basically same exact problem as that VinnyCee guy....after I regained traction roughing over an ice patch it immediately killed my odo and speedo...the miles just stay where theyre at and the mph is 0...I saw what you said about it probably being the Vehicle Speed Sensor is dirty or broken....did you ever fix yours?

I thought that each wheel had a speed sensor....will pulling engine code be able to tell me which one it is?

    Thanks!

    Paul
