Hey I have a 92 SC300 also. I have a power steering pressure hose from a 97 SC300 and wanted to know if it will fit also or do I need to take my old one to a hydraulics shop like you did?

How to: SC300 HP Power Steering hose replacement
I am from San Diego, CA area and finding a replacement hose(s) for my '92 SC300 was quite disappointing. I tried ebay ($400), junkyard (none), dealership ($717 plus tax), aftermarker such as Napa Auto (None), Online dealer (none), and many more. I am posting these photos in an effort to help those who are in need of replacing theirs. I had mine repaired by San Diego Hydraulics #1720 Cleveland Avenue

Almost everything on my '92 SC300 have already been replaced namely; Lower control arm bushing (front), A/C compressor, driver's side window regulator, rack and pinion, climate control, radio, ECU, power steering hose, front cal, both front O2 sensors, fuel filter, both driver and right passenger seats, and many others. I am planning to replace my Instrument cluster and the climate control but not quite sure if I should proceed due to its mileage (288K miles). Any recommendations? If I should go ahead which color? Should I get it repainted? Thanks.....

Just wanted to share my recent experience on my '92 SC300. 3 shops in my area (used 2 of them several times) recommended that I replace my cat for failing the SMOG Test only here in California. After replacing the front cat (Y style) myself (got it from the Dealer itself for almost $400), I was told by the same guy who did the initial smog test that one of the O2 sensors is not working. I was afraid that I might fail again for the 3rd test, I decided to replace both O2 sensors in the Bay 1 and 2. One of the sensors I bought from the Dealer for $220 while the 2nd one I bought from the Napa Auto for almost $80. I successfully passed the smog. I learned lessons from this ordeal. I guess the shop owners just based their diagnostic on the age of the car and/or its mileage (288K). Either that, they just want to earn my business. My recommendation to those out there who faces the same dilemma as mine, replace sensors and do the cat(s) only as a last resort.
