You'll need to state whether you need Nakamichi, or Pioneer. I take it you need Nakamichi from the posts I read of yours.

Default Nakamichi

I don't know what the amp is or where it is.

I think the cd changer is pioneer. The head unit is nak. Unsure about the speakers.

The changers are the same for both Pioneer and Nakamichi systems. If the headunit says Nakamichi on it, then the subwoofer and amplifier are Nakamichi-specific as well. The amplifier is located below the cd changer, in rear-right quarterpanel. You can use aftermarket speakers, or you can also use factory replacements. The CD changer is actually made by Matsu****a, and is, according to many, a hunk of junk. I'm converting my Pioneer cassette-only setup to Nakamichi and have opted for the ES 6-disc changer. Since it is a gen II, vs the SC gen I changer, it operates much better. The only question is how I am going to mount it, but I'll have that sorted once I get it. You may want to consider that route.

Default ES 6-disc changer

Is this the only changer that will work with a Nak head unit and amp? What year does the ES have to be and are they price and hard to find?
Can I do an aftermarket sub too? Thing is I want to head the dash looking the same and avoid it looking like I have a nice system in the car.
So you found a Nak head unit?
Can you put a different amp on it or does it have to be nak also?

thx so much for your info on this

I have some Mark Levinson speakers that came out of a GS. I also have the tweeters, but I lost my digital camera so I don't have any pictures. Let me know.

I'm not sure if the ES changer is the only alternative but that is what most people use. I don't know what years work, but I know 1996 does. The Nakamichi amplifier is a nice unit, but I don't know if you can use an aftermarket one with the stock HU. Every once in a while Nakamichi headunits are posted here for sale, but you could post a WTB thread. I bought mine from Gazi. Perhaps lexusaudio or another knowledgeable person will chime in...
