Default power

The power adapter would be the CLA-PC19, if you are just looking for a cigarette lighter, or the PSU-PC19, which is the shutdown controller. Both of these items can be purchased at www.xenarcdirect.com. You can also get a OPUS power adapter, but since the carputer is from Xenarc, it would be better if you get the same company power adapter. peace

Subject: Question

I started off a Barebones XENARC MP-SC8 system. I didnt buy the power adapter from Xenarc at that time but i am interested in getting one now. I installed an Intel Pentium P4 2.4 CPU, 1 Gig of PC3200 DDR 400 RAM, 40 Gig Maxtor 2.5" 7200 rpm Harddrive, slim DVD Rom. Can you please tell me which one would i buy? Also, does that product have a built in startup/shutdown feature?

OLT no one is forceing anyone to buy it here, I have a few interests PMd to me so im not worried about selling this product. But regarding the PSU, if Xenarc stopped making them, then like i said on my post....get the OPUS PSU. It does the same job.

I just called up OPUS, and they said that we should get the OPUS 150 to power this system up.

Okay...no probs, like i said you need a OPUS 150. Theres froogle, ebay, google for prices. Should be about 140. This is the second most expensive thing you would need to get (first being the touch screen). You dont need anything else but wires to connect and start.

Peace

OLT, Check this out.
From ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Opus-SFX-1215-PC...QQcmdZViewItem

$40 right now....great price

The good thing about this is that it has a auto shutdown system. This means when you take the key out it shuts down, hibernates, or goes on standby (whichever one you choose) automatically.

BTW im sorry if i sounded mean or unhelpful in a few posts above, i really didnt mean for you to take it the wrong way. If you need anything, or have any other questions, ill be more then happy to answer ALL of them. The last thing i would want is having someone buy this when they are a bit confused about this After you look more into it, i think you-or anyone else- would see that its a great product. Sorry again.

Peace
