i don't know if it does what factory nav systems do on cars such as prius etc etc. but on my brother's nav system (prius) you can say "chinese restaurant, or gas station" or whatever and it brings up all the list of places near by!

No it isnt as advance as Toyota/Lexus or any other car nav with voice, but it does have POI searches.
