I am selling my GEN4 Navigation Brain 86841-50090. I had it in my 2001 GS430 and it worked excellent. A great upgrade for those who have the Gen 2/3 Navigations. Updated interface and map. Includes OEM 5.1 map DVD.

The unit is PLUG AND PLAY for any upgrade from Gen 2/3. No wiring or cutting needed. Pull your old one out and put this one in. If you have a 2GS, it includes the bracket. Other models will have to reuse your own.

What is neat about the GEN4 is that you can do the Navigation override while you are moving (Pressing hidden buttons so that you can input destination while driving). The old Gen 2/3 you had to stop before you can put in the secret code.

this goes away after you upgrade past 7.1 on the 9.1 or 10.1 im on (i forget which) i had to get the prestigious society override to be able to do it on the fly.

the gen 4 IS 100% better than the gen 2/3 guys....

Thats right. This is the 5.1 so it works on the fly!

That is correct. 98-00 use a different system. A laptop hard drive for data. No DVD.
