Here's a quick question/suggestion I guess. Are we going to have a big NELOC meet to kick this thing off? I was thinking it would be nice to have a meet to kind of start the whole thing so everyone gets to meet everyone. Alot of people already know each other but there were quite a few people that didnt get a chance to make it to LexFest. Just a thought.

It disturbs me to read this post. Although I know exactly how you feel.

When I personally collaborated to form Lexotic Concepts in 2002 it was similar to what you are doing here, now with this post. Random IS300 owners met at shows and events when the IS300's were newcomers to the show scene. We wanted to organize our efforts and try to bring some attention to lexus tuning and above all make friends and become a tight knit group. Thus, we needed some outstanding cars to start the club. Granted we have changed over the years. We have dropped the "Mod Requirement List".

Since then we, "Lexotic Concepts" have acquires about 10-12 members (some have left due to selling cars, movingm personal issues, etc) but we still retain a core membership that most likely will never change.

The only reason we are selective is basically we want to attract the really "dedicated Lexus enthusiast". We wanted to seek out guys we knew were not "sometimers" As cheesy as this may sound, we want the name "Lexotic Concepts" to mean something prestigious. When people think LC we want them to think LEXUS TUNING at its finest. If that has been achieved - Im not sure,, as most know I am/was quite the online troublemaker LOL.

Yes, sometimes we park as a group, thats because we felt that it stood out good or bad to gain a bit of notariety. If that was taken the wrong way, on behalf of the LC name and guys, I apologize. We really are a cool bunch of guys.

Yes our name has been dragged thru the mud. Yes we have had shady behaving non-members be mistaken at members that worked against us, but we try to persevere.

I have scaled back the actual membership list as we have "trimmed the fat" so to speak.
This surely doesnt mean that we dont socialize at meets. We try our best, I try my best to speak to people at meets and be an ambassador at meets.

We all know its hard to break the ice when your the new guy at a meet. I have attended many FBF CL meets years back 2002-03 where when I showed up "being the new guy" not ONE person came over and introduced themselves to me, spoke to me, or even looked in my direction. I felt out of place and unwanted too. Its always hard those first few times. Up till today, i always try my best to extend the olive branch to new guys I see at meets as logn as they seem approachable, as I remember being on the outside looking in.

Its been a long time since we thru away the mod list requirements. We now base membership on personality, how well you interact with current members, trust, and of course your car (as we still focus on Lexus Tuning, not BBQ's) LOL
