Taking sputniknyc's advice, I am posting this here.


My friend purchased a 2001 Gs430 with 24k on it for $4000. The car is a flood damage vehicle without any keys. He went to Bayridge Lexus and showed them the title and proof that he is the owner. They told him that he has to buy a new ecu to get keys because they cannot program without an original. Does anyone know anybody who can cut a key for his car around here? Thanks for all the help.

 

the ecu will need to be reflashed. you will need to get the cheapest key made by the dealer. or remove the passenger lock cylinder.

i have a guy who will cut you a master key with remote, and reflash the ecu.
cost will be $350

i have a key question also i went to the dealer to get a remote key for my sc adn they told me that it would be 350 dollars and that a "ebay" key wouldnt work cause only on place in cali could cut the key and they would only cut there keys is this true?

 

not true, lexus probably doesnt know about the aftermarket

 

i need a key with the remote built in it for a 1992 sc300 how much would that cost?
