Got Keyed
Hi All
I posted in Automotive and Detail Forum but just wanted some input from NELOC guys.
My 2006 Smokey Granite Mica IS250 got keyed the other day. What are my options? Can a professional detailer take out the mark? It is about 18-20" inches long on my driver side door. How much does it usually cost if I just want to repaint just the door? I am just sad every time I see the damn scratch.
Thanks for your input guys.

it all depends on how deep it is not how much there is. If it is not too deep than it can be polished out or enough not to be seen. But repainting the door might be costly since you would have to blend to make sure that the rest of the car is the same.

I have a PC7424 and detailed my car a few times and with my experience trying to take out scratches, I don't think I can repair it w/ my PC7424. But I will post pix later on today.

So here are the pictures along with my OEM X-Package Lip installed. I can't really feel the scratch w/ my nail so I would assume that it isn't too deep. So far I clayed it and I will see if I have time this week to compound it with my 6" pad. Hopefully I will get it looking nice by the meet on Saturday.
Any more input?

Hey All
Thanks for the reply, I will see what I can do with my limited expertise in detailing. Are there any professional detailers out there that you all recommend? If anything, I would just have them buff out my door because I just buffed my car about 3 months ago. Fingers crossed.
