Default Supra Builder, NEEDS your help on IS300

I work for Hoffman Auto Group in CT. Director of Wholesale and used car opperations. A car came in trade, They do not want to retail this car in its current state. So it has fallen on me to wholesale the car, However I have the option to buy it as an employee. Of Coarse my main concern is CT emmisions.

So assuming I can get it through emmisions ( which i probably cant), Should I buy this car? I can get it pretty cheap through my job. Here are a list of mods on the car. ( customer had most of the receipts)

2002 IS300, 57k miles,

Autometer Boost and Volt guages $84
TRD GAUGE pod $249
Apexi N1 Is300 $505
InJen, Lex W/ss EXH $302 ( no idea what this is, just reading the receipts)
Jet Chips, Import comp recall kit $299
Engine Management Systems, E6X lead Kit stand alone $1130
19in PIAA, with 1.5 inch lip mounting 215F, 245R TOYO 35R19z's $2600
6RC 650 injectors $80
JP IS PY, 4 piece polyurethane body Kit and eye lids, $900
Headers Y pipe, $657
PLP Vortech Supercharger V2, 342hp... $5695
GSS341 255lph fule pump $65

Installing Supercharger $1700... ( But i have the reciept, WOW)

Audi 2.7 V6 TT Kompact duel port BOV $220 ( this thing is mad annoying as the supercharger is constantly building preasure from the pully, its constanstantly releasing it, sound like a dry fire machine gun )

$5650 to do the complete body kit, paint, mold, it came out flawless guys.

Thats all I hve for reciepts.. However the car has the following...

Greddy Front Mount IC, with full hard pipes.
Autometer air/fuel guage
Apexi drop in cold air intake, full upper hard pipes
All pipes power coated black
AFPR, with all stainless lines
There is a 7th injector, however the guy who traded it in says it isnt feeding fuel there is no further need for it.

Full Exhaust system...

Car is very very clean, only flaw is shifting in and out of 4th at higher RP's the Syncros are starting to go, just in and out of 4th though.

I would guess the car is putting down 340HP to the wheels, boost peeks at 9lbs in 3-4 gear around 5500 RPS

It seems like its gonna need a good tune

Anyway Say I bought this car.. Either way I Go, It will need suspension, swaybars, and roll the back fenders for wider tires..

But it seems I would have 2 options.

Keep the supercharger, get a performance pully, and boost a little higher?

Take the supercharger off, get a bolt on SP61gt or something, and boost it up!!...

Either way What HP you think I could push this car to, and still safely drive it as a daily driver? low/ mid 400's? without getting into the engine...

Does this N/A MkIV engine have the same internals as if it were going into a MkIV?

My guess the tranny would go first, at that time I woudl drop in a 6speed assuming it drops right in.

Man,, ****** that car up and run with it like there is no tomorrow. To think that someone would drop all of that in and then just trade it in is just,,,,wow!!! They must have gotten a really great deal on something else. Anyway, unfortunately I am not an IS owner and am unfamiliar with it's potential. You may want to PM Apex here on this forum, as he may be able to help you decide what to do. From the list of mods, that thing just sound like a pure beast!!!! ****** it!!!!

It's so funny because I was ready to by a MKIV. But this thing dropped on my lap basically. I been driving around over the weekend on a dealer plate. I have really fallen in love with this car...

I will not say how much it was traded in for, but lets just say none of the Mods reciepts were takin into close consideration of there cost. And the car was brought in for close to Galves ( A wholesale pocket guide on purchasing cars). I can pay cost of the car plus a dealer fee of $299.

My main concern is how much the engine can handle before going internal. And getting this car through Emmisions (stand alone, modded fuel, no cat, custom exhaust)... or fail twice and get a waver accepted.

BTW as for the year of the engine, its a stock engine 2002 lexus IS300 the
2jz non turbo , Ironically the same engine they used for NA MKIV's..

PM me with any specfic questions you may have about the IS300. I am pretty versed in tuning this particular car..

I would buy the Supra over an IS300.
