there are other factors that will also need to be considered (unofficially and unfortunately) since Qns has pretty much turned into a bordertown of races and ethnicities (that's why you don't see many apartments available on craigslist). If you drive around my area there are tons of 'for rent' signs but they definitely want to 'see' you in person.

A coworker of mine lives in a beautiful apartment building in Jamaica Estates off of Hillside Ave & 173rd. Building has indoor parking for the tenants as well. I will get the telephone number of the rental office for you later on.
