Default 2 most dangerous roads in Long Island, NY

interesting lol....im going to be commuting on both roads in about 3 weeks when i start going over to Farmingdale for school. but i got to admit, my exit on the SSP is 18 and the onramps are horrible since it gives u about 30-40 feet to merge onto 60+ mph cars. Hmpstd Trnpke is also crammed with traffic throughout the whole day but i dont see much aggressive driving there, mostly on the SSP.

haha the southern state is not so bad if you pay attention, also don't speed cause the cops hide EVERYWHERE. I haven't really driven the hempstead tpk, but good luck cause i've heard stories. When you go to Farmingdale, be careful on Rt. 110 also (I went to SUNY Farmingdale for a semester, don't speed on their campus cause they'll rape you). Pay attention especially to your rear view mirror as you come up on traffic stopped at a light. A lot of folks dont pay attention, and the traffic at lights builds up quick so they just might decide to plow into you at 45mph. I've seen it happen in the lane directly next to me at a stop light, glad it wasn't me but sucks to see that happen. In fact part of the bumper flew off and hit my windshield. Just be alert.

ah u only went to farmingdale for 1 semester? and yea the campus police warned us at orientation to not to speed or run stop signs or u'll need to pay a fee but i forgot how much it was. yea im always gonna pay attention now, last week some girl on a bike came out to the street without looking and rammed into my car, near the gas tank cover and the small section of paint was scrapped down to the metal and theres a dent like a foot big. thank god she was ok, she was like 11 or 12 years old too but she said the bike hit the car. the on-ramps on exit18 is just a hassle to get on because their so short, east bound is 30-40ft to get speed and merge and west bound is around 70-80ft to get on.

i feel you man, i go to farmingdale too. SSP is just too much traffic. Freaking ramp is so short that you don't even have time to look at your mirror to cut. It's like just cut hoping no one will hit you.

we should make a post to see how much of the neloc members attend farmingdale!!!!
speaking of speeding.. the usual speed on the ssp is about 70-80 mph on the fast lane.. its hard not to speed esp when you have to school the local ricers.!!

lol, I've had my best races on the SSP. I have a 'friend' out there I go to see every so often and I make the trip from Jamaica to Deer Park (exit 43) in about 20 mins.
