Default Tint Ticket

Anyone know what we have to do if we get a tint ticket other than pay the fine. 60 Dollars...such bad timing.

Do we have to get it removed? or get a reciept for removal etc?

Thanks

Go back to the tint shop, get a receipt that says 'tint removal' and take it to court, they'll likely reduce the fine (took mine down to $10) or dismiss it completely. But make sure your receipt is dated within 10 days or so of the ticket.

So on another note...anyone get the Assistant District Attorney to decrease the ticket to no points or less points. Cause I got a speeding ticket too in queens on GCP 94th street with the tint ticket....be aware he is lurking...waiting for all of us

LMAO, any money not spent with Dept of Finance can be directed toward the liquor or beer outlet at the next cookout.

lol, you're just batting 1.000 today huh? No easy fix there, but if you have the time, plead not Guilty and take your chances with the officer not showing up. You won't even go to court this year most likely and hopefully you'll get a date during a snowstorm or something. You don't have anything more to lose.

yeah you got two reschedules and that can push you a long way. I do it all the time. I'll probably just eat this tint ticket though, sometimes I just dont have time to beat the system. The city has made alot of money off me over the years. and upstate

Yeah it looks like I am going to make a donation to the City-90 dollars
So the Traffic Violations Bureau is an all or nothing court. Nassau and Suffolk has plea bargaining.
So either I defend myself or a lawyer. The chances I fair well on my own is slim. Anybody know a good lawyer?

Lawyer would probably cost the same if not more for a tint ticket. Also what would the defense be? Best chance is for reduction.

LOL, how far over the speed limit were you? Depends on how fast you were going, in what zone and what's your driving history like?

There is no plea bargaining in Suffolk County (except local village courts like Nissequoge, Huntington, Lake Grove, Head of the Harbor, etc), only in Nassau County. Suffolk County is also governed by the TVB. TVB governs New York City and Suffolk County, but not Nassau.
