Guess what everyone
I went to my first autocross event today (unless you count driving cobalts in the chevy rev it up racing events). It was organised by the porsche club of america ny metro chapter and I have to say I never knew I could legally have that much fun behind the wheel. Everyone there was really friendly, a couple of the other guys were former sc owners so a few of them were watching my runs to see how well it can handle. My first 4 runs I ran alone and was still trying to get a feel for the track. In the second half I nailed my first run with no penalties. Then for my next 3 runs I opted to have an instructor ride with me. He was shocked that such a big car would feel so small and agile on the track, and He was impressed at how well I was driving and how quickly I was learning (even went through a corner sideways without picking up any penalties). Thanks to Todd for coming out and shooting some video of me and my friend, Right now the file is 500mb so i have to do some editing. Todd if you took pics post them up . The only downside is I dont know if i can make the monthly meet tomorrow, I had to take EVERYTHING out of the car. So tomorrow I have to rewire the carputer and amplifiers (already have a multi-terminal quick disconnect to install so i dont have to keep going through this each time).

lol sorry tony but but once i got a taste of it at rev it up I wanted more. Todd didnt push me, he just didnt try to talk me out of it. I dont think you can deprogram this one, once i got back i started ordering partsto improve my handling.
Here is a brief video that todd recorded of us before he had to leave, then we recorded a couple of the other cars. The white evo is my friend who I went there with. The track was pretty big and in the video it looks like we are going alot slower than we actually were. At one point my friend hit 70, I was a little too distracted to check my speed.
