Sending out the bat signal-Hawk's Nest Meet -Todd had an accident!!!
Hey everyone, it's Mrs. G Soup here. Carlos just called and told me that our friend Todd from NELOC, just got into a bad accident during their drive at Hawk's nest.
I do not have any details other than that.
Please keep him in your prayers and thoughts so that he may be ok.

No Amy was at the top with all the guys and Todd did the run, the guy before him came up and told everyone else about the accident. She is with Cliff now driving to the hospital. Only Todd was in the car.

We're in St Francis hospital in Poughkeepsie, waiting on the CatScan. Amy, the girlfriend, is in with him now.
...will keep you posted.
So sad, but could've been MUCH worse. The car was inches away from going over a cliff...thank God for a 3-foot brick wall.

Oohpapi44 here:
We were on a twisty road just taking turns running our cars through to get some scenic pics. Todd was in his car by himself and in a turn out of view of the rest of us. So that being said, none of us can really speak on what happened. What we do know is that Todd hit a wall (of a mountain) head on, then bounced off the wall to the other side of the two lane road to hit the retaining wall on the other side (this retaining wall stops you from going over the side of a cliff to a 200-300 foot drop into a river). He hit the retaining wall hard enough to break it but it did it's job and kept him on the road. The car then caught fire in the engine bay but because we were up in the mountains there's not a fire engine nearby so the car continued to burn for about 15 minutes while we waited for the EMT's. But the time a fire truck arrived on scene, the car had burned all the way to the rear quarter panel.
From the injuries we saw, Todd split either his lip or nose (or both) pretty bad and either bruised or broke a rib (when Amy pressed on his chest, he was in considerable pain).
Because of the location, the EMT's decided to airlift him out of the area and that's how we ended up in Poughkeepsie where we are still in the ER waiting room.
So unless there are some internal injuries revealed by the CAT Scan, we believe he'll be ok. But we are waiting for Amy to come back down and give us an update.
