Carlisle Hotel Rates
Hello Neloc. As we all know, Carlisle is slowly closing in and hotels are getting booked to capacity. I briefly spoke to Leroy (Apex84) and Tony (Trukn1) about the hotel situation and we thought it would be a good idea to check out room rates for the hotels provided in Carlisle's page: http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/guest/where_to_stay.asp
in order to help everyone shorten their time hunting for prices. We all know that there are people that can be short on money due to school, mortgage, kids etc. and that is totally understandable. That is why I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND getting with someone and splitting the room cost, which would help save money and also with meeting up if more people stay together
The rates I received ranged from $65-$189 per night for 2 adults... I also asked about having 4 adults stay in 1 room and almost all hotels had no problem with it, but would charge $5-$10 extra per person. The rates i'm posting are for rooms with 2 queen size beds OR 1 king size, so for those planning on having 4 people in one room, would mean that you would have to share a bed unless you bring an air mattress
I'm going to post rates in the order that they appear on the Carlisle link I posted above. Any questions, please feel free to PM me.
ALL RATES ARE PER NIGHT
DAYS INN in Carlisle: $155
Hampton Inn in Carlisle: $169-$179
Residence Inn:MARRIOTT in Carlisle: $189
RODEWAY INN in Carlisle: $135
SLEEP INNin Carlisle: $139
COMFORT SUITES in Carlisle: NO VACANCY
COURTYARD: MARRIOTT in Harrisburg: $169

QUALITY INN in Carlisle: $139

Whatup Bat.. Most of the people that I'm aware of are staying at the Courtyard Marriott in Mechanicsburg: about 6 of us including myself. $149/night and I requested a fridge in my room, which they had no problem accomodating me with.

so is that the official clublexus town? mechanicsburg?
i will be making reservations soon, but I would like to find out the area that CL members will be staying at. I dont rele care too much about the hotel, just the town/area. if u guys are staying in carlisle, ill stay in carlisle, if a majority of u guys/gals go to a town 15 mins away or something, then i will do the same. I just dont want to be like all the way on the other side of town so carpooling to a party at night would be shot or something.

I was also wondering where the majority of you guys are staying. It'd make things easier if everyone was together at one hotel.

I wouldn't call it the "official" CL town, but it is about 15 minutes from Carlisle and out of 13 registered members, about 6 are in the same hotel in Mechanicsburg. The Courtyard Marriott in Mechanicsburg allows you to reserve a room, and you can cancel the day of reservation by 6p.m. at no charge.

Rare1, myself and Bernie are staying in Mechanicsburg as well. We're staying at:
Courtyard Harrisburg West/Mechanicsburg
4921 Gettysburg Road
Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania 17055
USA
Phone: 1-717-766-9006
Is this this the same one you are referring to?
It's a 13 mile drive to Carlisle, so roughly about 10-12 mins to the fairgrounds
