My wife and I are looking at a used RX330 at a used car dealer (non-Lexus) in Long Island, NY. We are in Toronto and I have done this in the past with on our other cars where I have had someone who was nice enough to spare some time from the forum to check the car out for me.

Is there anyone here who is near that area and wouldn't mind lending a helping hand? Generally the forum guys are also more knowledgeable so I would trust the judgement of someone from here who can help me out.

I eagerly await your responses.

Long Island is a big place. Might want to post address of dealer so we can get an idea of how far a trip.

I know that there are members near the Long Island area. Post up the information for the dealer with the particulars of the car and I am sure that someone in that area may be able to help you out.

Ahh sorry I didn't realize that it is that big.

The name of the dealer is listed in one source as KG Suzuki and in another place as Planet Auto Mall. It is on Northern Blvd.

Does anyone have any experience with those dealer names... and of course if someone can give the car a once-over for me I would greatly appreciate it - let me know and we can chat in PM and go over some details.

Eek sounds bad but some of the replies in the thread make it sound normal... hard to tell... is there anyone close to the dealer, over here who can pop in?

Find out if you can if it has the ultra premium package - I know that it has the nav screen but I ran the VIN# here at a dealer and they said that this is just a luxury package, but I am not sure.

See if it all works... the nav, back up camera, rear dvd, heated seats, etc.

Then of course your own visual inspection of the interior and the exterior (close-up pics would be great, especially of blemishes or questionable areas if any). In the other thread they were talking about mismatched wood and an unusually large number of leather blemishes and scratches on the dash or trim.

Again, this is much appreciated.

Not aproblem.

Let's see if they let me do all that stuff.. LOL Alot of those dealers on Northern boulevard are just trying to move units to people with bad credit or individuals who don't know any better.

The funny thing is the Lexus of Queens dealership is not too far from there, a couple of blocks over.

i really wouldnt buy anything from those dealerships over there due to quality, but there are always some diamonds in the rough...

i live like a few aves away but i dont have any free timee i have school and work from 7-7pm everyday

BTW: i went there for an audi, i guess they saw me as a kid they tried to rape me on one by adding free oil changes for 10yrs and prep. the car... i just lefted after that. good luck will your next purchase
