Hey guys, I finished school in December but have been looking for a new job for the last month or so to no avail. I've been working with three recruiters. If anybody knows of any entry-level accounting positions available please shoot me a pm or an e-mail DLopez2582@yahoo.com. Thanx

I work with about 50 different CPA firms in the city, with my company Paychex, Inc. Send me your resume and I'll send it to them all on email blast. They except my emails because I refer them a lot of business and work with them very closely with there clients. If they like what they see, they will contact you so please have your resume on point! gcguerra1@yahoo.com

As the news has stated the market is soft right now especially for new hires with alot of companies having hiring freezes inplace. I would suggest continue networking with friends, join any peer groups that might be of help, and maintain solid relationship w your campus recruiting department. Have you tried some of the management consulting/acct firms? (Bearing Point/KPMG, Booz Allen, Ernest Young, Accenture, PWC (Price Waterhouse). They usually gobble up recent grads with Accenture being a top recruiter.
Nother thought...Go to dcjobs.com do some research. I know they are Washington DC based but will break out by your Accounting discipline and maybe give you some ideas or springboard to something else closer to home. There are all levels there. Its not the size of Careerbuilder or Monster so little better visibility for you and sometimes there are actual names listed as contacts. Thats how I found my recent job.
Not that it helps but even folks with experience are having problems.
Good Luck!

I work for a company called Manpower Professional and we have 4400 offices worldwide. Here in south Florida, we focus on F&A. As a ClubLexus member, feel free to PM me and I can help you get in touch with the right people up there.
Although my background is IT (I worked in NOVA with all the firms ROL mentioned), I have a salesforce that does a great job marketing top talent. Honestly, this is a tough time to come out out of school, but the key is to be proactive. Additionally, we don't generally have entry level job openings, but being a recent grad (2003 & 2005), I have a soft spot in my heart for new grads and would love to try to give you some advice and help you out.
I can also send you some good information on marketing yourself.
All my best,
Jason
