Mmm.....guess you have never installed an alarm before. If you just go matching colors you are going to do alot of damage to the alarm and/or the electrical system of your car. I have been MECP certified since 1997 and have probably installed a couple hundred alarms in all types of cars, you ALWAYS test the wires before you just hook things up whether you have a schematic or not. Bad practice to just assume the schematic (if you can find one for the car your working on) is correct because 8 out of 10 times there will be discrepancies between the schematic and what is actually in the car.

I remember it taking over 3 hours to have it done on previous GS and too my current one. I guess it may depend on what type of alarm you choose.

D, I had the Viper 5900 installed and two different techs installed it on both my cars. It was a over 3hrs for them to complete it and they setup some other features that I don't know are part of a standard setup. Does it it take you around that time to complete the job?

Yeah I understand, I had no idea at all what the time was going to be to complete the job. They did warn me that it will take several hours to do. It wasn't a big deal for me knowing that the job was being done in a professional manner and I killed all that time with a bus ride to the mall
