Im pretty sure he is refering to the M3. Stock for stock, the IS-F should take M3's no problem. THe M5 on the other hand . . .

Quickest pass I've seen for new stock M5 was 12.3
Here's a 12.4 for the F despite over an 80 HP difference to the V-10:
