mike, don't worry about taking your car to the city, just do what I do:

tip the parking dude 5 bucks and he'll park ur car right up in front where all the lambos, ferrari's and porsches go.

makes leaving so much easier and gives you peace of mind

any of the big parking garages. i think i like this one

http://www.iconparking.com/?gclid=CL...FQNfFQodsw5aRA

they be all the same to me. u can find cheaper rates if u find them away from major tourist sites like 34th n madison square garden, 42nd and times square, 14th st and union square, etc etc

Go to Wollman Rink in Central Park . . The experience will be well worth the drive into NYC. There's also Bryant Park which is free but it doesn't compare to skating at Wollman. You probably won't find anything in Northern NJ outside of ice hockey rinks.

It's funny you mention Montclair because as soon as I saw the thread I automatically thought about Montclair State. My cousin goes there and said they have ice skating but you have to go on their website to find out the schedule. There's also a place in Hackensack but I can't remember the name. Try doing a google search.
