Default Going to NYC

Well im planning to head to NYC within a month. Looking to stay around the centeral park or time square area. I know there are alot of people from around that area. Can anyone suggest any good hotels in that area? Things to do or places to eat? Im looking to head up early on a saturday morning and leave sunday night.

There are so many hotels in that area , that it al;l depends on what your looking to spend and what your planning to do (ie. walking distance to Broadway shoes, etc.). If you can also post what your preference is in regards to eating that would help also. You may want to try out "Restaurant Row" but like I said it all depends what you like.
