Cool Wet sanding process on the ES...**PICS!**

picked up a buffer for 28 bucks at harbor freight near by and started wetsanding with 2000 grit...


before you can see in the reflection of my neighbors house that theres orange peel and the reflection is not true.










no wax...


waxed and quick detailed, Meguiars NXT

Very nice! Make sure you don't rub too hard and cut through the clear.

thanks everybody, when i painted my car like 2.5 years ago, the shop gave me alot of clear coat. so i ended up putting about 5 coats of clear on. its real thick.

and i figure as long as you dont sand past the pits in the finish, you cant go wrong.

i went outside earlier today and i looked at it in the sun, the reflection on the fender is still a bit wavy...boo!!! but then again, its also right where the fender flares over the tire so i guess its a difficult spot to hit.

this will be an on going project for a while...2 panels down, 11 more to go haha

i need to wetsand my ES as theres some orange peel from the previous owner getting some ****ty bodywork on the driver's side
im just scared to do it haha

i did paint my own car. i wetsanded it shortly after finishing it and the paint was not truly dry.

a year later, all my hard work went to waste and the paint dried unevenly. so i decided to do it again after seeing a coupon for a buffer for 28 bucks from Harbor freight, what could go wrong? lol seems to be working right?

harbor freight is da ******, i cant go there without spending any money. what kind of buffer did u get ray?

UPDATE!

so sunday didnt rain as it said it would...so more got done.






Driver side door done, compared to the other doors. its a clear difference.












and yes, all that white stuff on my driveway is my clearcoat.
